Two blonde babes,
Walking, talking, gesticulating,
Solving the problems of their families and the world.
Unitarian Preschool alumnae,
Former Pioneer Park regulars.
Faithful in exercise, honesty,
Motherhood and friendship.
Betty: so smart, capable, well-informed,
Dispensing truly good advice.
Unusually appreciative and supportive,
Accepting every sort of diversity.
Betsy: so funny, uplifting,
Great storyteller, up on gossip.
Strong religious faith
Holds family and mother together heroically.
The two sanguine “populars,”
Of consummate people skills.
Both in sales, very successful,
Both with countless friends.
These days I feel like Humpty Dumpty,
Always shattered over something.
They among others keep putting me
Back together again.
Adding friendship and flair to my life,
Including me in their bubble
Of joy, fun and excitement,
They’re the magic in this season of my life.
