From “Union Prayer Book”
Number well thy earthly days,
Let thy heart to wisdom turn;
Riches go not with us hence.
Worldly honors stay behind;
Practice virtue, walk upright,
Blissful shall thy end then be.
For God regards His servant’s soul,
Forsaketh not who trusts in Him.
SHORT HYMN
May my steps be worship
May my thoughts be praise
May my words bring honor to Your name
May my steps be worship
May my thoughts be praise
May my words bring honor to Your name
PRAYER FOR A NEW HEART
Thou who art over us,
Thou who are one of us,
Thou who art:
Give me a pure heart, that I may see thee;
A humble heart, that I may hear thee;
A heart of love, that I may serve thee;
A heart of faith, that I may abide in thee.
Amen.

PRAYER FOR A FAMILY
O dear Jesus,
I humbly implore Thee to grant thy special graces to our family. May our home be the shrine of peace, purity, love, labor and faith. I beg Thee, dear Jesus, to protect and bless all of us, absent and present, living and dead.
Amen.

PRAYER FROM “WEE SING”
The Bible says that Jesus
Was loving, kind and good.
I want to live as Jesus did
And do the things I should.
SEND US FORTH
Send us forth in peace, O Lord, but not in complacency.
Endow us with strength, but not with arrogance.
Make us people eager to love, but not to be meddlesome;
People proud enough not to scorn ourselves,
And sufficiently humble not to envy others. Amen.
