Why Me? Why This? Why Now?
By Robin Norwood
This book has explained so much about life to me. Some points:
- Life is about making up for our bad karma and healing our wounds.
- We do this through understanding, forgiveness and service.
- We have all been both abusers and abused. It really helps me to know this. If people realized that we have all been abusers, they would act with less self-righteousness and superiority, and more sympathy.
- We see life in dualities. We can’t really understand anything without understanding its opposite. This explains the purpose of suffering.
- Life goes in “healing cycles.” People usually need to hit rock bottom before they’re ready to heal.
- Learning our life lessons takes many, many lifetimes. It may take us more than one lifetime to learn a lesson.
