Our whole family loved this true story of a clockmaker who set out to solve the problem of determining longitude at sea (latitude could be determined by the stars, but not longitude), by developing the first mechanical clock that would be accurate at sea.  The theme was “perseverance” … a lifetime of it … struggling against both technological and political challenge and frustration.  Long movie but riveting.
