- Pay your taxes on time. Feel good about paying taxes.
- Pay your house off in 15 years instead of 30 – you’ll save a huge amount of money.
- Pay credit card bills on time to avoid paying huge fees.
- Pay utility bills online through automatic billing to avoid forgetting.
- Never seek something for nothing, or a “free lunch.” It’s wrong, and you’re not that hard up. It also can lead to terrible consequences, such as gambling. If you go to a “free dinner” in return for listening to a sales talk, you might end up buying something you don’t want.
- Always have financial goals that you’re working toward, even if slowly: Roth IRA’s, 401k’s, real estate, etc.
