- Fast whenever you can.
- Have a “revised food pyramid” in mind: veges on the bottom; fruits above veges; then whole grains; then nuts & monosaturated oils; then dairy, poultry, fish; then red meat.
- Try to avoid “white stuff”: sugar, white flour, potatoes.
- Exercise may “turn off” hunger.
- Eat tasty but not sinfully good foods … you can do that by avoiding white flour …
- Always look for more healthful alternatives: rice snap crackers instead of wheat crackers … light cream cheese instead of full fat … baked tortilla chips instead of fried … homemade flax oil salad dressing instead of store bought …
- Beans are the most perfect food – carbs, protein, fiber.
